Job SummaryThe SkillBridge internship program allows service members an opportunity to apply to, and participate in, department specific training programs offered by Vistra Corp at various locations.
The goal is that the selected participant will use the allotted time to learn and master a set of skills that could potentially lead to future employment opportunities with the company as well as gain relevant experience to help transition to the civilian workforce.
This program can also be used by the participant to determine interest in the field at the conclusion of the training period.
Job DescriptionKey Accountabilities:
oShift operations including plant startup, shutdown, and monitoring.
oFollow operational directions as given by the Lead or Control Room Operator.
oFollow plant directives given by the Production Manager.
oOperate and maintain plant equipment in compliance with established safety procedures and environmental regulations.
oOperate and maintain plant equipment within specified operational temperature, pressure, and rate of change parameters.
oMaintain logs and records of operational milestones.
oPerform electrical switching orders.
oWork with others in preparing and implementing equipment LO/TO orders for maintenance work.
oIdentify and report equipment malfunctions.
Other operations and maintenance duties as directed.
Education, Experience, and Skill Requirements:
o2 years military service oApproval from DOD to participate in the SkillBridge program oOpen to learning new skills outside of the military oHigh School Diploma or equivalent Key Metrics:
